I have a freakin awesome Mac Powerbook that I use fer practically everythin cept gamin. Well, a week or two ago, it died on me. It got really really slow, even with the simplist of tasks, and eventually it just gave me the endless loading screen whenever I tried ta boot it. :/ It's gettin fixed as I type I hope anyway.
This morning, my Cell Phone died. It woke me up as always, and After my shower, it was slow as heck. So, I turned it off, and now it don't turn back on. :/ It's a good phone too. Ain't had it fer too long.
So, I've been stripped of two of my major contibutors to my daily work, and communication. I feel like I've been placed out in the middle of the desert with no water. I've heard "You never know what you have until the day you don't have it." SO true. I realize that yet again. It's hard to believe there was a time when I survived without this stuff.
But anyway, um... yeah. Been havin a rotten week or two.

Back in May my secondary IDE channel on my mainboard started to act up and died. A week later my primary IDE channel died, no drives no thing to stare at but an OS NOT FOUND message. So $450 later I got an AMD Athlon 64 3000+ chip, MSI mainboard, and DDR 400 RAM to replace the dead mainboard.
In June my DVD RW drive died, (Previous 3 HP Lightscribe drives went kaput due to some hardware in them. Bought a Lite-On Lightscribe drive that did the same... So that Lite-On drive died in June.
July my cable modem decided to call it quits, been running for 3 years. Since I bought a then incompatible modem with my Adelphia HSI service I had a spare, they still say they don't have the right "template" for the modem, but they were forced to create one.
August my RAM died, all of a sudden just as I was about to meet a friend online Blip! PC suddenly shut down. Some quick troubleshooting led me to the RAM module. So a call to PNY Technologies and a new RAM module was on its way.
So I've been trouble free since then, but then I knock on my oak desk...
